About Us:
On June 30, 1879, Hiram and Kate Wheeler sold two acres of land to the Odebolt Cemetery Association to provide a suitable place for burials.
The first Odebolt cemetery was initially located one mile east and one-half mile south of town. When the railroad arrived in 1877, the cemetery had to be relocated. Approximately 76 bodies were transferred from the original cemetery. Additional land for the cemetery was donated by W.P. Adams, with the last addition in 1968, consisting of 2 acres on the west end, donated by W.O. Bridge of Shinrone, Inc., formerly known as Adams Ranch.
